Assam: Three-day flower show begins at Bongaigaon Refinery
The 16th edition of the annual Flower Show and Exhibition began at the Pushpa Udyan of the Bongaigaon Refinery Township in Dhaligaon, drawing enthusiastic crowds of visitors keen to witness a vibrant display of floral varieties.
Organised by the Bongaigaon Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, the three-day event is regarded as one of the most attractive annual programmes of the refinery township. Visitors thronged the venue from the opening day, appreciating the colourful arrangements and landscaped displays prepared for the exhibition.
The Flower Show was inaugurated by N.K. Barua, Executive Director and Refinery Head of the Bongaigaon Refinery. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of environmental awareness and community participation through such initiatives.
During the prize distribution ceremony, N.K. Barua, along with Rashmita Barua, First Lady of the township, Chief General Manager Mihir Singhal and Chief General Manager Sunil Kalita, presented awards across various competition categories organised as part of the exhibition.
The event will continue for three days, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy the floral displays and participate in the festivities.
