Assam: Three persons arrested in Dudhnoi gang rape case produced before court

The Dudhnoi gang rape case that took place on May 3, where 3 men raped 2 minor girls who had come to see Bihu after being drugged. After the arrest of those 3 by the Police, the rapists were produced before Goalpara court. 

However, they have been brought back to Dudhnoi police station for interrogation and are currently in the lockup at Dudhnoi police station. After interrogation, it has come to light that one of the 3 accused, Dhan Talukdar, was involved in such crimes in the past as well, informed the police sources.

"The whole incident came to light after the 2 minor girls, who had come to enjoy the cultural evening of Vaisagu in Dudhnoi, were lured intoxicants by 3 men and dragged into a vehicle. They were raped in the night and were left in front of their respective houses in the morning", informed a local resident.

The family members lodged an FIR against the 3 youths at Dudhnai police station alleging rape of the 2 teenagers. Based on the FIR, the police first nabbed Dhan Talukdar while the other 2 rapists fled. The entire incident was taken seriously by the Goalpara district superintendent of police who managed to nab 2 youths from Dalgoma under Matia police station.

The 2 other accused were identified as Bahar Ali and Rahman Ali respectively. The incident has already created a sensation in Dudhnoi.
