Assam: Three youths arrested with huge cache of drugs in Noonmati

A significant quantity of drugs was seized by locals prompting the arrest of three youths near Mangalchandi police station in Birkuchi. The incident unfolded when locals grew suspicious of the activities of the youths and intercepted them leading to the discovery of drugs in their possession. The drugs were reportedly being transported for sale in a suitcase.

Upon receiving information from the locals, Noonmati police promptly arrived at the scene and detained the three youths identified as Pradeep, Pankaj, and Rakesh. Subsequently, an investigation was initiated by the Noonmati police into the matter.

The seizure of drugs and the subsequent arrests highlight the proactive efforts of the local community in combating illegal drug trafficking.
