<p>The injured have been identified as Paresh Buragohain and Debananda Buragohain of Upper Langtha village. Both sustained serious injuries on the face, hands, neck, back and waist.</p>

<p>According to reports, the incident occurred while the two men were plucking berries in a field orchard when the tiger suddenly attacked them.</p>

<p>Villagers immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Barpathar hospital for treatment.</p>

<p>Barpathar Police reached the scene soon after the incident. However, locals have alleged that the Forest Department has not taken adequate steps so far to capture the tiger.</p>

<p>Following the attack, fear has spread across the village, with residents expressing concern over further tiger movement in the area.</p>
