Assam: Tinsukia residents seek urgent repair of pothole-ridden road ahead of Durga Puja

Residents of Bordoloi Nagar in Assam’s Tinsukia district have urged the authorities to repair the damaged Sarat Chandra Sinha Road, which has developed large potholes and has been causing difficulties for commuters.

The road has remained in poor condition for a long time, with residents alleging that it has not been properly repaired for years.

Several roads in Tinsukia have deteriorated following work to lay pipelines under a drinking water supply project. The Sarat Chandra Sinha Road is among the affected stretches.

The condition of the road has also caused problems for people travelling to the office of Samanway Sangha, located along the stretch.

With Durga Puja approaching, residents of Bordoloi Nagar have appealed to the concerned authorities to repair the road at the earliest.

They said timely repairs would ease movement for residents and visitors during the festive season.
