Assam to host investment summit in February to formalise Davos MoUs: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state will host a major investment summit in February, aimed at formalising all the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed during the recent Davos engagement.

Speaking to the media, Sarma said the state has attracted investments totaling nearly Rs 1 lakh crore, which will be highlighted during the summit in Guwahati.

"Our department is organising an investment summit in February where all the MoUs signed in Davos will be formalised here in Guwahati. We have attracted an investment of almost one lakh crore, and that will be showcased in a program which we will do in February," Sarma said.

The Chief Minister added that the Prime Minister's Office had advised Assam to formalise the agreements within the state to facilitate deeper discussions and concretise the investments. "We have already decided that between 18 and 28 February, we will have a function in Guwahati," he confirmed.

The summit is expected to provide a platform for investors and stakeholders to engage directly with the state government, discuss implementation strategies, and explore further opportunities in Assam’s growing economic landscape.
