Assam: Truck rams into scooty, both vehicles burst into flames at Patacharkuchi

A tragic road accident unfolded on National Highway 31 in Patacharkuchi, Assam, as a speeding ten-wheeler trailer truck collided with a scooty, resulting in a catastrophic blaze that engulfed both vehicles.

The incident occurred in the Bajali district of Assam when the truck rear-ended the two-wheeler, ridden by Madan Rawta, a resident of Pathsala town. The impact of the collision threw Rawta off his scooty, leaving him with severe injuries. He was rushed to a nearby civil hospital for medical attention.

What shocked onlookers was the terrifying sight of the truck and scooty erupting into flames right in the middle of the highway, with other vehicles passing by.

The driver and co-pilot reportedly fled the scene after the collision, leaving behind their burning vehicle. Authorities, including a team from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Patacharkuchi Police, swiftly arrived at the scene to take control of the situation. A search operation to locate the absconding truck driver and co-pilot has been initiated.
