Assam: Unidentified body found on NH-27 near Rangia, probe on

An unidentified body with severe injuries, including both legs severed, was recovered on Monday morning from the roadside near Bhatkuchi along National Highway 27 in Udianguri, Rangia police reported.

Local residents first noticed the body lying by the highway and alerted authorities. Rangia police’s traffic unit later retrieved the body. 

Officers suspect that the victim died in a road accident that occurred in the early hours, as the body appeared to have remained on the roadside for some time.

The deceased has not yet been identified, and police are working to trace the individual and determine the circumstances of the accident.
