Assam: Violent clash erupts in Bilasipara over corruption allegations

Bilasipara witnessed a violent confrontation as two rival factions in Shagunmari, Part II village engaged in a fierce altercation, leaving multiple individuals injured. 

The clash reportedly stemmed from allegations of corruption against the former president of the Shagunmari village panchayat.

Eyewitnesses described the situation as highly chaotic, with individuals attacking each other indiscriminately. 

The intensity of the altercation turned the village into a virtual battlefield. Exclusive footage capturing the distressing scenes of the clash has surfaced, highlighting the severity of the violence.

Authorities acted swiftly, with a police team from Bilasipara reaching the scene to restore order. The injured victims have been admitted to Bilasipara Adarsha Hospital for medical treatment. 

Investigations are underway to determine the extent of the conflict and hold those responsible accountable.
