A shocking incident occurred in Assam's Rangia, where a woman, identified as Moina Nath, was burnt alive in her bedroom on February 20.
The fire reduced her body to ashes before firefighters could control the blaze. This marks the third such death in Rangiya in as many days, leaving the local community in shock.
Authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of the fire. However, locals suspect that two LPG cylinders may have exploded, leading to the massive fire.
The flames not only took the life of the mother of two but also destroyed all household property, including gold and silver ornaments, cash, and other valuables.
Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and managed to extinguish the flames, but by then, it was too late to save Moina Nath. The authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the fire.
The series of fire-related deaths in the area has raised concerns among residents, prompting calls for enhanced safety measures and thorough probes into these tragic incidents.
