Assam: Woman murders husband in Baksa, arrested with lover

In a chilling crime that has shocked residents, a woman along with her lover, has been arrested for the murder of her husband in Katjahar village under the Guwor Dhana police station in Baksa district.

The victim, Babulal Harijan, was discovered dead by his brother Tapan Rabidas, who later alerted the authorities. Acting on the tip-off, police began their investigation, which led to the arrest of Babulal's wife, Manju Harijan, and her lover, Rana Kumar Ram.

Reports suggest that Rana Kumar had been living as a tenant in Shimlaguri, where he and Manju Harijan plotted to kill Babulal. After carrying out the murder, the duo fled to Bangalore. However, the police tracked them down, and Rana Kumar was arrested in Bangalore before being brought back to Baksa for further interrogation.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the gruesome crime.
