A shocking incident unfolded in Assam's Sivasagar, where the body of a youth was discovered inside an oil-filled drum at the residence of Manoj Dutta. The gruesome find occurred at Dutta's house, sending shockwaves through the community.
Police were immediately called to the scene after the discovery of the body, which is believed to belong to a young man named Ksheek Barua. Barua had been missing for some time, and his body was found submerged in the drum filled with oil. Investigations have indicated that Barua's death may be connected to a larger crime, as both he and Kaustav Dutta, the son of Manoj Dutta, are suspected of involvement in an oil theft case.
Kaustav Dutta, who was on a childhood vacation with Barua, has been arrested in connection with the case. Authorities suspect the duo had been involved in the theft of oil from a local facility. Additionally, two stolen oil drums containing 1,000 liters of oil were recovered from the scene.
Policemen are currently on site, investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and the oil theft. Authorities are working to piece together the details of the incident, while the village remains in shock at the horrific discovery.
