Assam's Hybergaon Railway Station revamped under Amrit Bharat Scheme, PM Modi to inaugurate on May 22

Hybergaon Railway Station in Nagaon district, Assam, has been fully redeveloped under the ambitious Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) and is set to be inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 22, alongside 102 other modernized stations across the country.



According to Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northeast Frontier Railway, the redevelopment of Hybergaon station was completed at a cost of Rs 15.85 crore. The upgraded station now features modern passenger amenities including separate entry and exit points, a dedicated parking area, a comfortable waiting hall, a baby feeding room, and a passenger information system.



“The redevelopment of 50 stations in Assam and 60 stations across Northeast India under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is progressing rapidly. Hybergaon is among the stations where work has been completed and will be part of the nationwide virtual inauguration by the Prime Minister,” said Sharma.
