Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed satisfaction with the construction progress of the 'Jyoti-Bishnu' Auditorium during his inspection on January 3 morning.
The 5,000-seat venue, currently under development, aims to boost the city's cultural infrastructure.
"Reviewed progress of the 'Jyoti-Bishnu' Auditorium this morning. I'm satisfied with how it's shaping up," CM Sarma wrote on X.
Named after prominent figures in Assamese culture, the auditorium will serve as a major venue for large-scale events in the state capital. The facility represents a significant addition to Guwahati's entertainment and cultural landscape.
In an earlier tweet, CM Sarma also announced plans to visit Dudhnoi in the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) area. His agenda includes inaugurating new facilities and assessing ongoing development projects in the region.
