Assam's Sivasagar records 89.27% pass percentage in Higher Secondary final exams

The results of the Higher Secondary final examinations were declared on April 28, with Sivasagar district in Assam registering an overall pass percentage of 89.27%.

 

The results were officially announced during a press briefing by Dr Samiron Bora, an Assam Education Service (AES) officer of Sivasagar.

 

A total of 7,383 students appeared for the examinations across all three streams. Out of these, 5,489 students were from the Arts stream, 1,400 from Science, and 494 from Commerce.

 

Among the total candidates, 6,586 students successfully passed the examinations. In stream-wise results, 4,782 students cleared the Arts stream, 1,363 students passed in Science, and 441 students qualified in Commerce.

 

The pass percentage stood at 87.12% in Arts, 97.36% in Science, and 89.27% in Commerce. Notably, the district achieved a 100% pass rate in the vocational stream.

 

However, compared to previous years, a slight decline in the pass percentage was observed in the Arts stream, while the overall performance in the district remained satisfactory.
