BJP candidate Pradyut Bordoloi launches campaign in Dispur
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Dispur Assembly constituency Pradyut Bordoloi on March 26, launched his election campaign, expressing confidence of victory.
Addressing the reporters at the campaign office, Bordoloi said the venue would serve as the central hub for campaign activities in the constituency.
“I have started my campaign; this will be our head office. All our workers and BJP family members have gathered here and are extending their support. We will work together, and we will win Dispur,” he said.
He emphasised the importance of collective efforts by party members and supporters in strengthening the campaign at the grassroots level.
The development comes days after the two-term parliamentarian quit the Indian National Congress and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Assembly elections.
His resignation was accepted with effect from March 20. Bordoloi had resigned from the Congress on March 17 and formally joined the BJP the following day, marking a significant political shift in Assam’s pre-election landscape.
Political activities have intensified across the State as parties mobilise workers and reach out to voters ahead of the elections.
