BJP’s Ramakanta Deuri says victory margin has risen to 80,000 votes in Assam's Morigaon

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ramakanta Deuri on March 24 claimed that his expected victory margin in the Morigaon constituency has risen to 80,000 votes and is continuing to increase, as he formally launched his election campaign across the constituency.

Deuri visited nearly five panchayats along with party workers and interacted with general voters during the campaign. Addressing supporters, he said that while he initially expected a margin of around 17,000 votes, it has now increased to 80,000 and is “still going higher.”

He also claimed that his popularity among the masses has grown further, attributing it to his regular engagement with people and his style of connecting through public speeches. Deuri highlighted various welfare schemes implemented by the government in recent years and said that beneficiaries across the constituency have gained from these initiatives.

Meanwhile, in his presence, several former leaders of the All Assam Students' Union joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, expressing support for the party ahead of the elections.
