BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary reviews Indo-Bangladesh border security in Sribhumi

The Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Daljit Singh Chaudhary, arrived in Sribhumi to review the security situation along the India-Bangladesh border.

He landed at the local government school playground via a BSF aircraft, where he was received with a traditional Assamese Gamocha by senior officials, including the BSF Inspector General (IG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), local police officers, and BSF personnel.

Following the welcome ceremony, the BSF chief, accompanied by a high-security convoy, proceeded to the Border Outpost (BOP) at Steamer Ghat Camp near the international border. His visit aims to evaluate BSF deployments and assess the prevailing border situation.

According to sources, discussions may also be held regarding the growing tensions between India and Bangladesh. The visit comes against the backdrop of increasing Chinese influence and ISI activities in Bangladesh. Reports suggest that anti-India elements previously imprisoned in Bangladesh have been released, and instances of religious persecution against Hindus have risen.
