Cachar man fights off fox by grabbing its neck, seriously injured in attack

A man was seriously injured after a fox attacked him in Bhangarpar village under the Borkhola Assembly constituency in Assam's Cachar district.

The victim, identified as Ajit Nath, reportedly fought back against the animal and grabbed it by the neck in a desperate attempt to save himself. However, he sustained serious injuries from the fox's bites during the struggle.

Following the incident, Nath was initially taken to Sonapur Hospital, where he received first aid. He was later shifted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment in view of his condition.

The incident has triggered concern among residents of Bhangarpar, with locals expressing apprehension over the sudden animal attack. They have wished Nath a speedy recovery.
