Assam's Dhubri experienced heightened security on June 13 night as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), law and order, Akhilesh Kumar Singh, personally led extensive patrol operations. Meanwhile, 38 criminals were arrested from eight police station areas within the district for non-bailable offenses, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The move comes amidst a significant deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) across the town, acting on direct instructions from CM Sarma.
The streets and alleys of Dhubri witnessed a visible and coordinated effort by police personnel and a large contingent of RAF jawans, meticulously patrolling and guarding the city to ensure the safety and security of its residents.
The increased vigilance has already yielded significant results. Following explicit orders from the Chief Minister, police stations across the district have been actively working to apprehend individuals involved in criminal activities.
In a major breakthrough, a total of 38 criminals have been arrested from various police station areas within the district, a tweet by CM Sarma informed. These arrests are for non-bailable offenses, underscoring the seriousness of the charges.
