Don't need Assam CM's permission to get married, says AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal

In the midst of mounting accusations and political fervor, Badruddin Ajmal takes a jibe at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on April 1 saying that he need no such permission from him to get married and also called for a through inquiry regarding rhino poaching.

In response to allegations linking his potential victory to increased terrorism and environmental concerns, particularly regarding rhino poaching, Ajmal called for a thorough inquiry led by Sarma's vigilance team. He challenged the strength of his opponent, Rakibul Hussain, and asserted his autonomy in personal matters, asserting that he does not require the Chief Minister's permission for marriage decisions.

Ajmal asserted that they are merely "enjoying the starter" and have not commenced their electoral endeavors yet. However, he expressed concern over what he perceives as false allegations hurled by his opposition.

Ajmal directly targeted his opponent, Rakibul Hussain, insinuating that he is actively engaging in campaigning activities during Ramadan, a month where lying is prohibited. Accusing Hussain of spreading misinformation, Ajmal highlighted his disbelief in the allegations put forth, especially regarding the purported loss of Congress seats due to UDF's influence.

Highlighting his future campaign strategy, Ajmal outlined plans to counter these allegations with documented evidence once Ramadan concludes. He emphasized his track record of three consecutive leadership mandates and expressed confidence in securing a significant victory margin, particularly in Barpeta, where he anticipates winning by a margin of 8 to 9 lakhs votes.

Addressing recent governmental decisions, Ajmal highlighted significant financial allocations for railway line construction and medical college development, aiming to showcase tangible contributions to his constituency. He also accused Congress leaders of aligning with Himanta Biswa Sarma, the current Chief Minister, further fueling political tensions.
