Election review meeting held at Boko Rajiv Bhavan, Congress leaders assess organizational preparedness
An election-focused review meeting was held at Rajiv Bhavan in Boko on Tuesday, June 2, bringing together senior Congress leaders, elected representatives and party observers to assess organizational preparedness and discuss strategies ahead of upcoming political engagements.
The meeting was attended by former Member of Parliament Abdul Khaleque, Congress leader Kishore Kumar Brahma, Kamrup District Congress Committee President Pranjit Choudhury, Samaria MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed, and Congress candidate for the Boko–Chaygaon constituency, Ramen Singh Rabha.
During the session, separate discussions were held with party functionaries and leaders from the Boko–Chaygaon and Samaria constituencies. The deliberations focused on reviewing organizational activities, strengthening grassroots outreach, and evaluating the party’s readiness at the constituency level.
Senior leaders expressed appreciation for the efforts of party workers and urged them to continue their work with renewed commitment and organizational discipline. They also discussed measures aimed at expanding the party’s outreach and enhancing coordination among local units.
Addressing party workers, MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed stated that some organizations attempt to project the Congress as a minority-centric political party. He said that a comparison of electoral vote margins between the Congress and the BJP in Assam presents a broader picture of the party’s support base.
Party leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening grassroots structures and maintaining regular engagement with voters. The meeting concluded with discussions on organizational priorities and strategies aimed at energizing workers and consolidating support across constituencies.
