Final Electoral Roll 2026 published for five assembly constituencies in Assam’s Kokrajhar district

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday, February 10 published the Final Photo Electoral Roll (ER)–2026 for five Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, marking a key step in electoral preparedness ahead of upcoming polls. The qualifying date for the revision is January 1, 2026.

The final roll has been released in accordance with the ECI’s schedule, as notified under Letter No. 23/2025-ERS (Vol. II) dated November 17, 2025, and covers the constituencies of Gossaigaon, Dotma (ST), Kokrajhar (ST), Baokhungri, and Parbatjhora.

According to Kokrajhar District Commissioner Pankaj Chakraborty, the total number of electors has seen a downward revision from 7,12,609 in the draft roll published on December 27, 2025, to 7,04,225 electors in the final roll released on February 10, 2026.

Of the total electors, 3,52,780 are male, 3,51,436 are female, while nine electors are registered under the third gender category, reflecting continued efforts toward inclusive voter registration.

Among the five constituencies, Parbatjhora recorded the highest number of electors at 1,74,173, followed by Baokhungri with 1,64,314, Kokrajhar (ST) with 1,44,241, Gossaigaon with 1,14,486, and Dotma (ST) with 1,07,011 electors.

The district administration has established a total of 944 polling stations across the five constituencies to ensure smooth conduct of elections. Parbatjhora leads with 231 polling stations, followed by Baokhungri (223), Kokrajhar (ST) (190), Gossaigaon (154), and Dotma (ST) (146).

To strengthen electoral management at the grassroots level, the district has deployed five Electoral Registration Officers (EROs)—one for each constituency—along with 91 Booth Level Officer (BLO) Supervisors and 944 Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

Officials stated that the updated electoral roll and administrative arrangements are aimed at ensuring free, fair, and inclusive elections in the district.
