Former AASU leader Harsha Das joins BJP at Ranjeet Kumar Dass campaign rally in Assam's Sarbhog

Former AASU leader and ex-chairman of Howly Marketing Board, Harsha Das, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during an election campaign rally of Ranjeet Kumar Dass in Sarbhog.

 

Speaking to the media after joining the party, Das said that the BJP has played a strong role in protecting “jati, mati, bheti” (identity, land, and foundation) of the people.

 

He described Ranjeet Kumar Dass as a leader widely accepted and trusted by the public, adding that he feels honoured to have the opportunity to work under his leadership after joining the BJP.

 

Das further stated that the people are once again looking forward to forming a BJP government for the third consecutive term under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma.

 

He also expressed his commitment to work as a dedicated member alongside others in the party.

 

Highlighting development issues, Das said that pending works in the constituency over the last five years would be completed under Dass’s leadership. He added that the people of Bhawanipur-Sarbhog constituency have “100 per cent faith” in Ranjeet Kumar Dass.

 

The remarks were made by Harsha Das while addressing the media following his formal induction into the BJP.
