Former Minister Pijush Hazarika attends BJP workers meeting in Assam's Juria, gives organisational directives

Former Assam minister Pijush Hazarika attended a BJP workers meeting in Juria on May 19 where he reportedly issued several organisational directives ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

During the meeting, Pijush Hazarika allegedly asked journalists to leave the venue before holding off-camera discussions with party workers regarding strategies to secure minority votes in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

He also reportedly assigned Suresh Bora with responsibilities related to the Rupahi Hat Legislative Assembly constituency until further instructions from the party leadership.

Addressing party workers, the former minister reportedly directed that individuals who did not work in favour of the NDA candidate during the previous Assembly elections, or whose booths recorded poor voting performance, should be removed and replaced with new faces.

On the administrative front, Hazarika also stated that action would soon be taken against middlemen allegedly operating in police stations, revenue circle offices, and regional panchayat offices.
