Freak Kitchen to perform live at 16th North East Riders Meet 2026 in Sikkim

The Open Road Wanderers Motorcycle Club (ORWMC) has announced that Swedish progressive metal band Freak Kitchen will perform live at the 16th North East Riders Meet (NERM) 2026 in Sikkim on November 22.

The announcement marks a significant addition to the annual motorcycle gathering, which has built a strong reputation over the years for bringing together riders from across India and beyond against the backdrop of the Himalayan roads.

Freak Kitchen, the Gothenburg-based band known for its technically demanding and genre-bending sound, will bring its distinctive blend of progressive metal and hard rock to the event. The band's inclusion adds an international music dimension to this year's riders' meet.

Organisers said the 16th edition is expected to bring together motorcycle enthusiasts united by their passion for riding, adventure and camaraderie. With the addition of an internationally touring rock act, NERM 2026 is set to combine the motorcycle culture of the Northeast with a major live music experience.

The event is being promoted under the tagline “Ride In. Rock Out. Make History.” Organisers are positioning this year's gathering as more than a conventional motorcycle rally, with the Himalayan landscape of Sikkim providing the setting for both riding and live entertainment.

Over the years, NERM has developed into one of the prominent motorcycle gatherings in the Northeast, attracting riders who travel to the region for its mountain roads, scenic landscapes and community-driven riding culture.

With Freak Kitchen scheduled to take the stage on November 22, NERM 2026 is expected to add a new musical dimension to the riders' experience in Sikkim.
