Goods vehicle hit by train at railway crossing in Assam's Tinsukia

A goods vehicle was hit by a moving train at Laipuli in Assam’s Tinsukia on March 7, damaging the vehicle though the driver and handyman narrowly escaped unharmed.

According to reports, the incident took place at a railway crossing in the Laipuli area when the train struck the goods carrier while it was attempting to cross the tracks.

The vehicle involved in the accident has been identified as a Tata Intra bearing registration number AS23 DC 3077. The impact severely damaged the vehicle.

Fortunately, both the driver and the handyman managed to escape in time, avoiding serious injuries.
