Himanta Biswa Sarma arrives in Assam's Haflong for party meeting
With the upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly elections approaching, political activities have intensified in Dima Hasao, with various parties already stepping up their campaigns.
Amid this, Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Haflong on a one-day tour on Sunday, March 22, to boost the campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies.
The Chief Minister arrived in Haflong at around 11:30 AM and proceeded to a hotel in the town, where he held a meeting with party leaders and workers.
During his day-long programme, Sarma is engaging with party functionaries and reviewing organisational preparedness in the hill district ahead of the polls.
The visit is also aimed at strengthening the prospects of NDA candidates, including Daniel Langthasa of the National People's Party (NPP) from Haflong (ST) constituency and Rupali Langthasa, the BJP candidate for the 113-Haflong Legislative Assembly Constituency.
The meeting witnessed the participation of several local leaders and party workers, focusing on strengthening the party’s strategy and coordination at the grassroots level.
