"Himanta Biswa Sarma can lie 1000 times": Gaurav Gogoi

Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi launched a scathing attack on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing him of habitual dishonesty.
 

“The chief minister himself said he has the personal capacity to lie 1,000 times," Gaurav Gogoi claimed, further adding, "Himanta Biswa Sarma 1000 jhooth bol sakta hai — this is his character."
 

Gogoi's comment comes amid a frequent social media spat between him and the Chief Minister, which erupts from time to time. "Who is going to believe him?” Gogoi said, questioning the authenticity of Sarma’s recent statements.
 

Gogoi further dismissed the CM’s accusations, stating, “All these allegations are false. He has not provided any substantive evidence. What exactly is the government doing?”
 

He also distanced himself from recent narratives questioning his stance on Pakistan, asserting, “I have criticised Pakistan on international platforms and on social media. I am a staunch critic of Pakistani state policy… On most matters, I am hawkish when it comes to Pakistan.”
