Himanta Biswa Sarma : 'I openly do politics for Hindus'...What is the problem there ?

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on November 18  "I openly do politics for Hindus,". Sarma stated the inclusive nature of the term "Hindu" in the context of Indian identity asserting that his commitment is aligned with the principles of 'Sabka Saath, Saabka Vikas' and 'Sarva Dharma Sambhav.'

"What is the problem in doing politics for Hindus when Hindu is Bharatiya?" questioned Sarma.

This statement comes on the heels of Sarma's earlier remarks on November 15, where he took aim at Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel regarding his alleged involvement in the Mahadev betting app case. Sarma accused Baghel of being implicated in a scam, stating, "He committed a scam by naming the app as Mahadev. He would have given the name Bhupesh or he would have used my name Himanta. But they named it Mahadev."

Sarma warned Baghel, saying, "Now, Mahadev will not spare him and will take account of every single penny. Bhupesh ji, your time has come to give account, and you have to give it."
