Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi during his visit to Tokyo, Japan on January 22. The Chief Minister offered floral respects at the statue of the Father of the Nation, symbolizing the enduring relevance of Gandhi’s values across borders.
During his visit, Sarma also interacted with members of the Assamese diaspora residing in Japan. The gathering served as a platform to exchange ideas, discuss Assam's development, and strengthen cultural ties between the state and its global community.
