Himanta Biswa Sarma vows to tackle land scams, announces NSA action against brokers

Assam Chief Minister on May14 Himanta Biswa Sarma during his visit to Kochutoli in Sonapur, addressed key issues related to his political constituency, ongoing development projects, and law enforcement efforts.



In a statement regarding his political future, CM Sarma affirmed, "Jalukbari is my own constituency, and I will contest the elections there. I will do whatever the party decides for me." 



CM Sarma also highlighted the development plans for the state, particularly in Jorhat. He declared, "In Jorhat, we will carry out many developmental works," signaling his focus on infrastructure and community growth in the region.



Further emphasizing his administration’s law enforcement actions, the Chief Minister addressed the issue of land scams. He stated, "We will arrest the brokers involved in land scams under the NSA (National Security Act). The people occupying land want to leave, but the brokers are bringing them back." This statement reflects the government’s commitment to curbing illegal land occupations and scams.



Additionally, CM Sarma provided an update on security-related infrastructure in the region. He announced that, "In the next six months, construction work for the police battalion will begin in Kochutoli, Sonapur." This initiative is expected to strengthen law enforcement in the area, ensuring better security and governance
