"Hindi is the language of the heart of every Indian", says Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, while addressing the Regional Official Language Conference in Guwahati, on March 5 emphasized the significance of Hindi as not just India's official language but also as a unifying force that resonates with the hearts of all Indians.

Speaking at the Rajbhasha Sammelan for the North Eastern Regions, CM Sarma highlighted the crucial role of regional languages in preserving cultural heritage. He urged people to take pride in India’s indigenous languages while stressing the importance of learning Hindi for broader career and business prospects.

"It is unfortunate that while some individuals embrace English, they do not extend the same recognition to Hindi," Sarma remarked. "Hindi should be embraced alongside regional languages, as it opens doors to greater employment and business opportunities. It is not just the official language of our country but also the language of the heart for every Indian."

The conference underscored the need for linguistic inclusivity and encouraged efforts to promote Hindi as a bridge between diverse linguistic communities.
