            <div class="clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item"><p>A Zomato delivery executive in Assam’s Silchar has alleged that he was harassed, physically assaulted and threatened by a group of men following the cancellation of a food order.</p>

<p>The delivery executive, identified as Rohit Malah, said he had gone to Tarapur Assamese Basti to deliver a food order worth around Rs 1,250 when the customer cancelled it.</p>

<p>Malah alleged that the customer, along with several others, confronted him and pushed him before threatening to kill him. He said he managed to escape from the spot.</p>

<p>The delivery executive further alleged that the group subsequently lodged a false complaint against him with the company.</p>

<p>Malah has since submitted a written complaint to the officer-in-charge of the Tarapur Police Outpost, seeking registration of an FIR and a probe into the incident.</p>

<p>The complaint alleges assault, intimidation and harassment. Police action and the response of the persons named in the complaint are awaited.</p>
