Jai Bharat Party to contest all 126 seats in upcoming Assam Assembly polls

The Jai Bharat Party (JBP) has announced its decision to contest all 126 seats in the forthcoming Assam Legislative Assembly election, party sources said.

The party, formed under the initiative and leadership of the late Pradip Nag, former president of the All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) central executive committee, aims to make a significant impact in the state polls.

Prabin Tuty, vice-president of AASAA’s Tinsukia district committee, said that the association would actively cooperate with the Jai Bharat Party and assist its candidates across all constituencies. He emphasized that the AASAA, in partnership with the JBP, is committed to challenging the BJP-led state government.

“The All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam will work alongside Jai Bharat Party to ensure strong support for the candidates in all 126 assembly seats of Assam,” Tuty said.

The announcement comes as several new and regional parties gear up for the state elections, seeking to consolidate support among tribal and indigenous communities.
