The Kaziranga National Park Authority has released important guidelines for tourists planning to visit the renowned wildlife sanctuary, marking the end of the 2023/24 tourist year. As per the notification, the park will be closing elephant safaris for tourists from May 1, citing inclement weather and road conditions. Additionally, jeep safaris will cease operation for tourists from May 16 onwards.

Tourists intending to experience the majestic beauty of Kaziranga National Park through an elephant safari are advised to plan their visit before April 30. Similarly, those opting for a jeep safari experience are urged to visit the park by May 15.

Following these dates, both elephant and jeep safaris will be suspended, restricting tourist access to the park. These measures are implemented to ensure the safety of visitors and preserve the natural habitat of the wildlife during adverse weather conditions.
