The Agoratoli forest area of Kaziranga National Park officially opened for tourist visits today, attracting both domestic and international visitors. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Assam Minister Atul Bora, Kaziranga Lok Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, and a group of tourists from Germany.

Minister Atul Bora formally inaugurated the forest area by cutting the ceremonial ribbon, following which he, MP Tasa, and the visiting tourists embarked on a jeep safari through the interior of the forest.

Highlighting the forest’s unique ecological significance, Minister Bora expressed optimism that Agoratoli, renowned for its migratory bird population, would witness a record number of visitors this year. “The forest is not only a haven for wildlife enthusiasts but also plays a crucial role in promoting eco-tourism in Assam,” he said.
