Leaders pay last respects to late Dima Hasao EM Samuel Changsan in Haflong

Leaders and officials of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council paid their last respects to former Executive Member (EM) Samuel Changsan, who passed away earlier this week, leaving behind a legacy of public service in Dima Hasao district.

 

Chief Executive Member (CEM), EMs, Members of Autonomous Council (MACs), and other officials gathered to offer tributes to the late leader, who had been in charge of the Health and Family Welfare department of the council.

 

Changsan was admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati on April 1, 2026, following health complications. He was later declared dead by attending doctors.

 

Widely regarded as a senior and respected leader in the district, Changsan made significant contributions to the development of Dima Hasao, particularly in the health sector.

 

His demise has triggered an outpouring of grief across the district, with people from all walks of life mourning the loss of a dedicated public representative and expressing deep condolences to his family.
