Madhya Pradesh CM highlights Guwahati as gateway to northeast, eyes industrial collaboration with Assam

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday, October 5 underscored Guwahati’s strategic importance as India’s gateway to the Northeast while outlining plans for enhanced industrial and cultural cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and Assam.



Speaking at a program held in Guwahati, Yadav said, “Guwahati, the capital of Assam, is India’s gateway to the Northeast. We have successfully organised this program here to explore the immense potential of industrial partnerships across multiple sectors, particularly petrochemicals, cement, food processing, tea, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and wellness.”



The Madhya Pradesh CM revealed that he would meet with Assam Chief Minister to discuss potential collaborations, stating,



“Assam’s investors have expressed interest in connecting with us in various sectors, including petrochemicals, cement, food processing, and pharma. Likewise, our people are eager to explore opportunities in Assam.”



Highlighting future connectivity plans, Yadav added, “We will also discuss the possibility of establishing a direct flight between Bhopal and Guwahati to facilitate trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.”
