Manipur: Heavy rainfall triggers severe flooding in Thoubal district

Incessant rainfall over the past few days has led to severe flooding in Khangabok and surrounding villages within Manipur's Thoubal district. The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued a public advisory urging residents to exercise extreme caution and remain indoors.

The DDMA's notice highlights the urgency of the situation, urging the public, particularly those affected by the floods, to stay alert and take necessary precautions to prevent loss of life and property. The advisory states, "In view of the urgent nature and unexpected heavy rainfall which occurred in Thoubal District in the last few days, and as a precautionary measure, the public of Thoubal District, especially those affected by the flood, is hereby advised to stay alert and remain indoors, taking all necessary precautions to avoid loss of life and property."
