Mega health camp screens over 1,000 children in Assam's Margherita
More than a thousand children and adolescents in Margherita received free medical check-ups today as part of the "Seva Setu 2025" initiative.
Organised by the Tinsukia District Health and Family Welfare Department in collaboration with the Margherita Co-District Administration, the camp targeted children under 18 across the 83rd Margherita Legislative Assembly constituency.
The event, held at the Town High School playground, was inaugurated by Rahul Doley, Margherita Co-District Commissioner. Disen Tipomia, representing Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma, and officials from multiple government departments were also present.
Specialists from Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh, and Tinsukia Medical College and Hospital, supported by health workers, nurses, and volunteers, conducted thorough medical check-ups and treatments.
Authorities said the initiative aims to improve early health screening and awareness among children, ensuring timely medical intervention and promoting overall child health in the region.
