Speaking at the 3rd Edition of the North-East Export Promotional Meet, Union Minister Pabitra Margherita emphasized the region's strategic importance as a gateway to South-East Asia. He outlined the immense potential of North-East India and reaffirmed the government's commitment to the Act East policy to bolster economic ties with neighboring countries.
“North-East India holds a pivotal position geographically, serving as a vital link to South-East Asia,” said Margherita. “This region is brimming with potential, and initiatives like the export promotion meet are crucial in unlocking new opportunities.”
The event witnessed participation from buyers and sellers from neighboring countries, including Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Highlighting the significance of such interactions, the minister expressed optimism about the meet’s impact on enhancing regional trade and elevating business prospects to new heights.
The export promotion meet aims to not only boost the region’s business volume but also strengthen its integration into the global market, further advancing the government’s Act East vision.
