Karbi Anglong police in Assam have busted an active inter-state child trafficking network, rescuing multiple victims including a mother and her minor daughter from Bokolia Ghat who had been sold in Delhi and Rajasthan three years ago.

According to police, the minor girl was sold in Delhi for ₹30,000, while her mother was trafficked to Rajasthan for ₹1 lakh.

Their rescue marks a significant success for the district police in cracking down on organized trafficking rackets operating across state lines.

During the operation, the police team also rescued one child from Golaghat and two children from West Bengal, highlighting the wide reach of the network.
