Nitin Nabin leads BJP campaign in Margherita ahead of Assembly polls

Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, March 29 intensified election campaigning in Assam’s Margherita constituency, with the party’s national leadership joining the campaign trail ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.


Nitin Nabin, National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, arrived at Ledo Bazaar High School Playground in Margherita Co-District to campaign in support of alliance candidate Bhaskar Sharma from the 83rd Margherita Legislative Assembly Constituency.


In the evening, Nabin will attend a crucial meeting of party karyakartas (workers) from Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts at 5:00 PM. The meeting will be held at Gogamukh Skill Centre in Gogamukh.


He was accompanied by Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, along with Rituparna Baruah, General Secretary of the BJP State Committee. Also present at the event were Tinsukia District BJP President Kusha Kanta Bora and senior party leaders including Bhim Karmakar and Sanjay Singh, along with presidents of the three BJP mandals in Margherita.


The campaign event saw the participation of party workers and local supporters, as the BJP continues to mobilise its organisational network in the region. The visit is part of the party’s broader strategy to consolidate support in Upper Assam constituencies ahead of the polls.
