<p>Two labourers, identified as Arshad Ali and Nur Saiyad Ali from Dhubri district, sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to the Moran–Tiloi Community Health Centre. </p>

<p>Three others suffered minor injuries.</p>

<p>The incident occurred around 1 am when nearly 20 workers hired by Tinsukia-based contractor firm Grassroot were preparing the venue for the Chief Minister’s Women Entrepreneurship Scheme approval letter distribution event. The structure suddenly gave way, triggering chaos at the site.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s programme, originally scheduled for Friday, has been postponed due to other official commitments.</p>
