Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prospects ahead of the state's upcoming Panchayat elections.
Speaking to reporters, Hazarika declared that the BJP is poised for a sweeping victory, citing widespread public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and the party's performance at both the state and national levels.
“I think BJP will win a lot of seats. People will vote for Narendra Modi, Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP,” said Hazarika, adding, “There is no strong opposition in Assam. Congress has been decimated.”

Highlighting the party’s achievements, Hazarika pointed to significant infrastructure improvements, the distribution of 1.5 lakh government jobs, and what he described as a clean record in governance.
“BJP has done a lot of things for the country and in the state. Roads are a lot better, 1.5 lakh jobs were distributed, not a single allegation of corruption can be put,” he asserted.
As the state gears up for the grassroots electoral battle, Hazarika’s remarks underline BJP’s aggressive campaign stance and a broader narrative of governance and development.
