Pramod Boro fires at BPF chief: Mohilary’s statements have no relevance or reality

The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) government on Thursday organised a Beneficiary Meet and Socio-Economic Awareness Program at Gambaribill playground under the Kochugaon BTC Constituency in Assam’s Kokrajhar district.
The event was part of an initiative to raise awareness about various welfare schemes launched by the BTC, Assam state government, and the central government.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from Self-Help Groups (SHGs), local residents, and beneficiaries of government schemes. Several key leaders, including BTC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pramod Boro, Executive Member Ukil Mushahary, and MCLA Madhab Chetri, were present at the event along with other senior officials and dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, CEM Pramod Boro emphasised the BTC administration’s commitment to inclusive development across the region. “In the last four and a half years, the BTR government has implemented a series of development schemes to uplift the socio-economic condition of our people,” Boro said. He further highlighted the BTC’s alignment with the central government’s Viksit Bharat vision, which aims to ensure last-mile development and reach the most marginalised segments of society.

Slaming the previously Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland People's Front government, Boro said, "Whatever Mohilary says does not fall to my ears and whatever he is speaking, there is no reality."

Boro added that special focus is being given to welfare schemes targeting Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, including men, women, children, students, and youth. “The central and BTC governments have rolled out several tailored programs for holistic development across BTR,” he stated.

The primary aim of the awareness meet was to inform and empower citizens by making them aware of the benefits and opportunities under various schemes. Beneficiaries shared testimonials about how they have been positively impacted by housing, livelihood, education, and health-related programs.

The BTC government has reiterated its dedication to good governance and grassroots empowerment through continued outreach and engagement programs like this.
