<p>The student, Juri Sutradhar, daughter of Shipul Sutradhar and Sandhyarani Sutradhar of North Bidyapur, went missing on August 6 while she was reportedly on her way to collect an application form for the Nijut Moina scheme.</p>

<p>Juri is a Class 11 student at Basugaon Senior Secondary School in neighbouring Chirang district.</p>

<p>Her family lodged an FIR at the Bidyapur Police Outpost on August 7. However, the student had not been traced even 11 days after the complaint was filed, prompting the students’ organisation to allege police negligence.</p>

<p>Members of the association surrounded the police outpost and demanded that the authorities intensify the search and trace the missing student at the earliest.</p>

<p>The protesters also sought prompt action in the case and urged the police to provide an update on the investigation.</p>
