Rahul Gandhi's yatra should be named 'Bharat Todo Anyay Yatra': Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of doing injustice to Lord Ram. Sarma asserted that if Rahul Gandhi couldn't do justice to Lord Ram, how could he do justice to Bharat and its people?

Addressing reporters in Bhubaneshwar, Sarma claimed that Rahul Gandhi's yatra, ostensibly named 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,' should be aptly called 'Bharat Todo Anyay Yatra.' He alleged that the Congress, responsible for India's division in 1947, is now perpetuating injustice on the nation and its people.

"For the Ram Lalla Mandir not to happen, they went everywhere, including the Supreme Court. They even broke the Kalyan Singh government," Sarma remarked, expressing disappointment over Congress's role in the Ram Mandir issue. He commended the Vishva Hindu Parishad's decision to invite Congress to the Pran-Pratishtha of Lord Ram in Ayodhya but criticized the party for not attending.

Sarma continued stating, "For them, Babar is their loved one and favorite. Congress loves going to Babar rather than Lord Ram." He pointed out that the Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, were seen visiting Babar's tomb instead of temples, citing social media posts as evidence.

"They were sinners, and they will always remain sinners. How can you help them? They don't go to the temple; instead, they go to Babar's tomb and photos are available on social media," Sarma asserted.

Switching focus to electoral matters, Sarma expressed confidence in the BJP's growing influence, citing an increase in the vote share from 38 percent to 42 percent in Odisha. He predicted that the BJP would form the next government in Odisha during the 2024 elections, pledging to attend the oath-taking ceremony.

"I will come to Odisha. I know that BJP will have to serve the people of Odisha and get the blessings of Lord Jagannath," Sarma said.
