Randeep Hooda joins flood relief efforts in Assam, urges people to support affected families

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has joined relief efforts in Assam's flood-hit Sivasagar district, where he has been serving meals to displaced families and appealing to people across the country to extend support to those affected by the disaster.

Speaking during his visit to Sivasagar Railway Station, where several flood-affected families have taken shelter, Hooda said he has been working alongside the humanitarian organisation Global Sikhs to provide food to those in need.

"This is the Sivasagar Railway Station, and many affected families have come here from the surrounding areas. We prepare food and bring it to them, and we have been doing this every day for the last seven days," he said.

Emphasising the importance of compassion during times of crisis, the actor said, "Humanity is above everything else."

Hooda also praised the work of Global Sikhs, saying he has been associated with the organisation for many years and has witnessed its commitment to humanitarian service.

"I have been working with the same team, Global Sikhs, for many years, and the ground work they do is amazing," he said.

Appealing for wider public participation in relief efforts, Hooda urged people to contribute in whatever way they can to support those facing hardship.

"I would urge everybody to contribute in whichever way they can to help people—not just here, but wherever there is a problem. As human beings, it is our duty to help our fellow human beings. That is why we are here," he added.
